Being a child of the 70s and having a father who was, quite frankly, a nerd. I grew up to an odd mixture of music. He did not have an extensive album collection like a lot of the people I knew. I remember him playing the standard rock music, mostly on the radio, and whatnot and he also had a soft spot in his heart for some folk music. Which is why I still like to listen to Peter, Paul and Mary.
But he did own a few albums, that I believe he still has. And every so often he would put needle to vinyl and rock out to the sweet dulcet tones of Barry Manilow.
And that is why I have the song Daybreak in my head right now.
Thanks dad.
